Más o Menos / More or Less Things I Do Since I Moved to Spain/Turned 40
I was 39 when I moved to Spain from The US. I went from working full-time to part-time to no-time back to part-time. Since the end of August 2016 when I moved here to Valencia I’ve gone thru some changes. Some were on purpose. Some just happened. Some are major. Some are minor. Some are trivial. And I thought about these while I was just doing yoga.
Since I moved to Spain from The US and since I turned 40…
I do more yoga. I watch less American sports but watch more Spanish sports especially fútbol and women’s basketball. I speak more Spanish and better (duh). And I speak more Korean and better (surprised me too). I eat out less. I cook much more. I eat a lot more seafood. I eat more seafood with their heads on. I eat way less meat. I drink more Coca-Cola (real sugar). I drink more espressos (I can’t drink American drip coffee anymore). I eat a lot more bread. I eat more sweets. I weigh less. I spend less money. I buy less clothes. I wear camo less. I buy less things in general. I go to the grocery store more frequently. I follow more celebrities on Instagram, all Spanish ones (it helps me learn about the culture). I watch less ads. I read more. I drink more wine (but really I just take a few sips not to offend my lady’s parents and I never really drank at all before so yes it does count as more). I…
